In this study, supramolecular helical assembly of bis(N-amidothioureas) containing Br-substitutes with moderate halogen bonding ability in water is reported. The assembly is promoted by stronger hydrophobic interactions, leading to helical polymers exhibiting an unusual negative nonlinear CD-ee dependence.
We report supramolecular helical assembly in water of beta-turn structured bis(N-amidothioureas) containing Br-substitutes of moderate halogen bonding ability, promoted by stronger hydrophobic interaction. The helical polymers show an unusual negative nonlinear CD-ee dependence.
