Body perception treatment, a possible way to treat body image disturbance in eating disorders: a case-control efficacy study

Summary: The study focused on the efficacy of a new treatment, BPT, for body image disturbance in eating disorder patients. Results showed a significant improvement in body uneasiness in the experimental group that received BPT activities in addition to usual treatment. The findings highlight the importance of addressing the perceptual component of BID in treatment interventions.
