Pore structure of sludge char and simultaneously NO removal characteristics in the treated flue gas from Ca-L

Lihui Zhang et al.

Summary: A novel system for the comprehensive utilization process of treated flue gas from Calcium based looping (Ca-L) was proposed in this study. By optimizing the pyrolysis parameters of municipal sludge and controlling the oxygen concentration in the flue gas, the production of municipal sludge char and simultaneous NO removal were achieved. Additionally, it was found that oxygen in the flue gas destroyed the reducing atmosphere suitable for NO removal.
