Summary: Self-referenced photoluminescent oxygen sensitive fibrous membranes were successfully prepared for evaluating the freshness of agricultural products by monitoring the concentration change of environmental oxygen in packaged fruits. This study demonstrates the potential of using such membranes as an optical oxygen sensor for agricultural applications.
