The wording used in the title is uncomfortable, causing controversy not only in terms of social justice, but also misleading from a scientific perspective.
The title of a recently published paper in the 'Energy Research and Social Science' (ERSS) journal is Do we need better behaved cooks? Reviewing behavioural change strategies for improving the sustainability and effectiveness of cookstove programs. I argue in this 'Perspective' that such a title is offensive from a social justice perspective and the title framing is misleading from a scientific perspective.
