The standard entropy differences between hydrides and other elements increase with volume differences, and can be roughly expressed by an equation involving the gas constant R.
The standard entropy differences between hydrides and other elements (metals, liquid N-2, toluene) Delta S were increased with the volume differences Delta V. It was found that Delta S is roughly expressed by the following equation, |Delta S| proportional to Rln|Delta V|, in which R is the gas constant.
