Experimental studies on rheological, mechanical, and microstructure properties of self-compacting concrete containing perovskite nanomaterial

Ali Bahari et al.

Summary: The study results indicate that the increase in LSCO nanomaterial content reduces the workability of SCC mixes, but can increase compressive, flexural, and split tensile strengths at 2 wt%, followed by a decreasing trend. Microstructural analysis reveals that SCC mixes containing 2 wt% LSCO nanomaterials have a compact cement matrix microstructure.

Effect of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes on Strength and Electrical Properties of Cement Mortar

Elena Cerro-Prada et al.

Summary: The study shows that adding 0.02 wt.% MWCNTs to cement mortar can increase compressive and flexural strength at 90 days curing time. Mortars with 0.01 and 0.015 wt.% MWCNT loading have a decrease in resistivity at both 28 and 90 days curing time.

Using mixture design method to optimizing concretes characteristics made with binary and ternary sands

Ahmed Attia et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study is to predict the physico-mechanical characteristics of concrete using mathematical models and mixture design method. The use of binary and ternary mixtures sands improves workability and mechanical strengths of concrete. Local materials can offer economic, technological and environmental solutions in the construction field.
