The study investigated the use of hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents for tetracycline microextraction, and found that a deep eutectic solvent composed of thymol and octanoic acid exhibited a synergistic effect on tetracycline extraction. A novel liquid-liquid microextraction procedure for the determination of tetracyclines in milk samples using HPLC-DAD was proposed in this research.
