Bismuth-induced synthesis of Au-X (X = Pt, Pd) nanoalloys for electrocatalytic reactions

Nan Wang et al.

Summary: Bismuth was introduced as an intermediate in the production of Au-X bimetallic nanoalloys through the galvanic replacement reaction. The resulting Au-X nanoalloys exhibited good activity for electrocatalytic reactions in alkaline media, providing an option for the formation of multimetal nanoalloys with similar electrochemical potentials and compositions.
