Overcoming the Anisotropic Growth Limitations of Free-Standing Single-Crystal Halide Perovskite Films

Summary: The study successfully grew freestanding single crystal CsPbBr3 SCHPFs with thickness less than 100 nm and lateral size close to centimeter for the first time. A new growth kinetics model was proposed to address the surface energy and temperature effect on the growth rate, with experimental results and DFT calculations demonstrating the critical role of surfactants in achieving anisotropic growth.

Perovskite Single Crystals: Synthesis, Optoelectronic Properties, and Application

In contrast, PVSK single crystals (SCs) with lower trap density are considered a better platform for research and device applications. Various synthesis methods for PVSK SCs have been developed to improve their optoelectronic properties and device configurations for solar cells, photodetectors, and other detectors. This review aims to provide guidance for the further development and applications of PVSK SCs.
