Multimodal spatio-temporal deep learning approach for neonatal postoperative pain assessment
Md Sirajus Salekin et al.
Summary: The current practice for assessing neonatal postoperative pain is subjective and inconsistent. To overcome this, automated multimodal spatiotemporal approaches have been proposed, showing higher accuracy and AUC compared to unimodal approaches. Integrating visual and vocal signals for pain assessment can potentially lead to fully automated pain monitoring in clinical settings.
