Calcium carbonate nanoparticles fabricated by a facile method based on the colloidal gas aphrons for removal of fluoride ions from aqueous solutions

Summary: In this study, calcium carbonate nanoparticles were successfully synthesized and showed promising results in removing fluoride ions from aqueous solutions. The synthesized nanoparticles had a quasi-spherical vaterite structure and exhibited a high removal capacity. Factors such as temperature and pH were found to significantly affect the removal rate.

Facile synthesis of ZIF-8 nanoparticles using polar acetic acid solvent for enhanced adsorption of methylene blue

Summary: Synthesis of ZIF-8 using acetic acid as solvent resulted in uniform nanoparticles with enhanced adsorption properties for methylene blue removal. Compared to ZIF-8 produced using N,N-dimethylformamide solvent, ZIF-8 (AA) showed smaller particle size, enhanced mesoporosity, higher surface area, and greater adsorption capacity. The adsorption of methylene blue followed pseudo-second order kinetic and Langmuir model on ZIF-8 (AA), indicating its efficiency for dye removal.
