Summary: The study proposes an approach to implement the Autler-Townes splitting quantum-memory protocol on a Bose-Einstein condensate platform, demonstrating the storage of short pulses of single-photon-level light as a collective spin excitation. The results show an ultra-low-noise memory with efficiency of 30% and lifetime of 15 microseconds, opening a new avenue toward high-performance quantum memories.
