Neural silences can be localized rapidly using noninvasive scalp EEG

Alireza Chamanzar et al.

Summary: SilenceMap is a rapid and cost-effective noninvasive tool for detecting and localizing neural silences using EEG recordings. It outperformed existing algorithms in accurately locating silences in patients with cortical resections and simulated regions of silence. This algorithm paves the way for early diagnosis and continuous monitoring of physiological changes in cortical function.
