Nonadiabatic Dynamics in Si and CdSe Nanoclusters: Many-Body vs Single-Particle Treatment of Excited States

Brendan Smith et al.

Summary: This study introduces a new nonadiabatic molecular dynamics methodology that incorporates many-body effects in the treatment of electronic excited states in extended atomistic systems. The research reveals that a many-body description of excited states can qualitatively change the coupling structure between them and accelerate dynamics. The dependence of excited state dynamics on different methodologies and basis sets is investigated to improve the consistency with the many-body level results.
