The Black Hole Entropy Distance Conjecture and Black Hole Evaporation

Marvin Lueben et al.

Summary: This study extends the Black Hole Entropy Distance Conjecture to charged black holes in de Sitter space, showing a generic relationship between distance and the logarithm of entropy. It predicts the appearance of a massless tower of modes in the limit of infinite entropy. Additionally, it concludes that black hole evaporation does not lead to the appearance of a light tower of black hole microstates.

The convex hull swampland distance conjecture and bounds on non-geodesics

Jose Calderon-Infante et al.

Summary: The Swampland Distance Conjecture places restrictions on the geodesic distances that scalars can travel in effective field theories, particularly along trajectories in potential valleys. By expressing the SDC as a new Convex Hull constraint on trajectories, critical trajectories that fulfill maximum non-geodesicity allowed by the SDC can be obtained.

Merging the weak gravity and distance conjectures using BPS extremal black holes

Naomi Gendler et al.

Summary: The text discusses the charge-to-mass structure of BPS states in N = 2 compactifications of Type IIB string theory on Calabi-Yau three-folds and its implications for the Swampland Conjectures in the presence of multiple gauge and scalar fields. It shows that in infinite distance limits, the BPS bound coincides with the black hole extremality bound and the charge-to-mass vectors of the BPS states lie on degenerate ellipsoids with only two non-degenerate directions. It provides general bounds on the mass decay rate of the tower of states in terms of the black hole extremality bound, implying lambda >= 1/6.
