This study focuses on the static analysis of using natural fiber reinforced composite materials to manufacture car bumpers. The research found that glass fiber treated hemp fiber reinforced epoxy composites exhibit minimal deformation, making them the most suitable for automobile bumpers.
Composite materials assume a significant part in a weight decrease in the transportation industry. Conventional polymer material utilized for the bumper is polymer material. Further weight decrease and biodegradability are accomplished by the utilization of natural fiber reinforced composite bumper. This work examined the static investigation of bumper utilizing finite element analysis. The geometric parameters of bumper of four wheeler are used for consideration. The static investigation, for instance, deformation, von-mises stress and strain by utilizing finite element technique and it is completed for glass fiber reinforced composites and Hybridized Glass fiber natural fiber reinforced composites. It is observed that s glass fiber treated hemp fiber reinforced epoxy composites shows less deformation and will best suitable for automobile bumper. (c) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
