This paper analyzes and compares the performance of hybrid excited permanent magnet (HEPM) machines and interior permanent magnet (IPM) machines for electric vehicle applications, focusing on torque, efficiency, flux weakening capability, and losses using 2D finite-element analysis method.
This paper deals with the analysis and the comparison among some hybrid excited permanent magnet (HEPM) machines and interior permanent magnet (IPM) machines for electric vehicle (EV) applications. Torque, efficiency, flux weakening capability, losses are computed and compared in detail by 2D finite-element analysis method.
