A new lanthanide coordination complex was synthesized and its application on inflammation after abortion was evaluated. The activation levels of the AMPK signaling pathway were also detected.
In this study, a new lanthanide coordination complex [GdL(PhCOO)(CH3OH)](ClO4)(2).(CH3OH)(2) (1), in which L denotes the deprotonated macrocyclic ligand, were synthesized via condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-methyl-phenol and 1,3-diamino-2-propanol by employing benzoate as the second ligand. Its application values on the inflammation after abortion was determined. The ELISA detection kit was used to measure the levels of inflammatory cytokines released after abortion under indicated treatment. Besides, the activation levels of the AMPK signaling pathway in the endometrial cells was also detected by real time RT-PCR after indicated compound incubation. Although all the polar atoms on the ligands of the Gd ion complex are facing to the metal ion center, however, molecular docking simulation found that those polar atoms still exhibited potentials for binding interactions.
