Magnetic reversal and pinning in a perpendicular zero-moment half-metal

Summary: This study focuses on understanding and reducing domain-wall pinning in unpatterned epitaxial thin films, identifying two modes of magnetic reversal driven by nucleation or domain-wall motion, and analyzing the magnetic aftereffect to extract activation volumes, activation energies, and their variation. Prominent pinning sites were visualized through analysis of virgin domain patterns after thermal demagnetization.

Ultrafast Double Pulse All-Optical Reswitching of a Ferrimagnet

Complex anomalous Hall effect of CoGd alloy near the magnetization compensation temperature

Summary: In this study, anomalies in the complex Hall effect near the magnetization compensation temperature of CoGd alloy films were systematically investigated. The occurrence of a topological Hall effect was ruled out through detailed magnetic and transport measurements, leading to the construction of a phenomenological model to explain the complex Hall effect based on the influence of spin-flop effect and component inhomogeneity. This research provides insights into the microscopic magnetic properties and transport properties of rare-earth transition metal ferrimagnetic alloys near the compensation point.
