4-chlorophenol removal by air lift packed bed bioreactor and its modeling by kinetics and numerical model (artificial neural network)

Summary: The study found that 4-chlorophenol removal efficiency in the Airlift packed bed bioreactor decreased with increasing concentration and decreasing hydraulic retention time, with physical removal dominating in biological treatment. ALPBB is a suitable option for lower concentrations of 4-CP, but less efficient at higher concentrations. Modification of this reactor is suggested for high concentration removal.

Summary: The study investigated the cell toxicity of SiO2 nanoparticles under different calcination temperatures, times, and catalyst feed rates. Results showed that crystallization of the nanoparticles was influenced by the calcination temperature, with a negative correlation between crystallization and cell proliferation, and a positive correlation with cellular uptake.
