An assessment on the relationship between land surface temperature and normalized difference vegetation index

Summary: This study conducted in Raipur City of India using fifteen cloud-free Landsat datasets from 2002 to 2018 aimed to assess the trend of spatiotemporal relationship between land surface temperature (LST) and normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). It was found that LST maintains a strong negative relationship with NDVI throughout the study area, with variations in different ranges of LST and NDVI values. The increase in heterogeneous landscape within the city boundary strongly supports the changing pattern of LST-NDVI relationship, which has shown stronger correlations in earlier times compared to recent times.

Assessment of changes in land use, land cover, and land surface temperature in the mangrove forest of Sundarbans, northeast coast of India

Assessing the impact of land use land cover changes on land surface temperature over Pune city, India

Evaluating the impacts of land use/land cover changes across topography against land surface temperature in Cameron Highlands
