Summary: This study aimed to determine the feasibility, reference intervals, and reproducibility of evaluating left ventricular ejection fraction and speckle-tracking echocardiography in adult Syrian hamsters. The feasibility and reference intervals for LVEF and myocardial strain were successfully obtained, with values of LVEF_Teichholz being significantly higher than LVEF_BMode and LVEF_STE-derived methods. The intra-class correlation coefficients for measurements were generally moderate to high, with better results seen for LVEF_Teichholz and global longitudinal strain.
