One-Pot Three-Dimensional Printing Robust Self-Supporting MnOx/Cu-SSZ-13 Zeolite Monolithic Catalysts for NH3-SCR

Yingzhen Wei et al.

Summary: In this study, a facile one-step 3D printing strategy was developed to construct MnOx/Cu-SSZ-13 monolithic catalysts with excellent catalytic performance for NH3-SCR. The addition of iron-containing halloysite nanotubes and in situ incorporation of Mn into the Cu-SSZ-13 zeolite during the printing process improved the mechanical strength of the monolithic structures and the performance of the catalysts at high temperature.

Potassium-directed sustainable synthesis of new high silica small-pore zeolite with KFI structure (ZJM-7) as an efficient catalyst for NH3-SCR reaction

Shichao Han et al.

Summary: Inspired by high throughput calculations, a new high silica small pore zeolite with KFI structure (Si/Al > 5, designated as ZJM-7) was successfully prepared in the presence of K+. Interestingly, even after hydrothermal treatment at 850 degrees C for 12 h, Cu-ZJM-7 catalyst still shows excellent performance in the NH3-SCR reaction. The combination of sustainable synthesis and excellent catalytic properties of ZJM-7 zeolite might provide a good opportunity for developing highly efficient and low-cost SCR catalysts in the future.

One -pot synthesis of Fe/Cu-SSZ-13 catalyst and its highly efficient performance for the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxide with ammonia

Jie Wan et al.

Summary: A series of Fe/Cu-SSZ-13 catalysts with different Fe loading content were synthesized, with Fe-0.63/Cu-1.50-SSZ-13 catalyst showing the best SCR activity. Isolated Cu2+ and Fe3+ species were found to play key roles in the SCR reaction. Over-doping of Fe would lead to deterioration of catalytic performances.

The alumination mechanism of porous silica materials and properties of derived ion exchangers and acid catalysts

Zheng Li et al.

Summary: The alumination mechanism of siliceous materials in aqueous alkaline solution involves partial dissolution of the surface to form reactive groups, with the amount of introduced aluminum depending on treatment conditions. The Na-forms can be ion exchanged quantitatively, potentially serving as carriers for catalytically active metal ions. Acid properties were investigated using different probe molecules, revealing the presence of distinct Bronsted and Lewis acid sites on re-aluminated Y zeolite.
