Improving hydrogen evolution reaction performance by combining ditungsten carbide and nitrogen-doped graphene: A first-principles study

Bo Zhang et al.

Summary: The study proposed a series of heterostructural models combining W2C and graphene-like models, especially N-doped G-like models, and evaluated their catalytic activities using DFT. The results showed that these heterogeneous models have high HER performance in acidic, neutral, or alkaline environments.

Ultrathin MoS2 wrapped N-doped carbon-coated cobalt nanospheres for OER applications

Ashish Gaur et al.

Summary: By growing MoS2 nanolayers with interlayer spacing over N-doped carbon wrapped cobalt nanospheres derived from a cobalt-based metal-organic framework, a new catalyst Co@NC@MoS2 with low overpotential of 297 mV vs. RHE at 10 mA cm(-2) current density has been developed. The catalyst shows long-term stability with a Tafel slope value of 70 mV dec(-1) and no significant change in current density after more than 10 hours of chronoamperometric study.
