Requirements, Politics, or Individualism: What Drives the Success of COVID-19 Contact-Tracing Apps?

Muneera Bano et al.

Summary: The year 2020 was marked by the global pandemic of COVID-19, causing not only a health crisis but also disrupting societies worldwide. With no approved vaccine yet, countries have implemented various measures such as lockdowns, social distancing, and contact tracing to contain the virus. The challenges posed by the novel coronavirus, including its incubation period, range of symptoms, and asymptomatic carriers, have made manual contact tracing even more difficult.

A Fault Diagnosis Method of Rolling Mill Bearing at Low Frequency and Overload Condition Based on Integration of EEMD and GA-DBN

Jiang Ji et al.

Summary: By integrating EEMD and refined spectrum, the proposed method effectively extracts fault features of rolling mill bearings, improving the prediction accuracy of DBN model compared to time-frequency domain characteristics. The GA-DBN model achieves higher accuracy of 98.3% and significantly reduces diagnosis time, providing a good theoretical basis for fault diagnosis of low-speed bearings.
