Universal gold nanoparticle modified hybrid monolithic substrate developed for facile in-column post-functionalization

Summary: In this study, a strategy to develop basic hybrid monolithic column materials for easy post-functionalization was proposed. Different functional groups were immobilized on hybrid monolithic columns using gold nanoparticles as intermediary bridge. The coverage density of functional molecules on the developed columns was significantly higher than most similar materials, enabling efficient separation of target analytes in complex samples.
