A tri-beta-cyclodextrin-armed host compound is synthesized to form a layered supramolecular network co-assembly with a doubly azobenzene-decorated polyoxometalate cluster through host-guest interaction. This porous hybrid assembly is capable of automatically degrading selective dyes and accelerating the degradation of the partner dye in both water and dichloromethane in the air.
