Detection of pseudo brain tumors via stacked LSTM neural networks using MR spectroscopy signals

Summary: Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) is a non-invasive tool used for detecting brain tumors, providing important metabolic profiles about the brain. A stacked model based on LSTM and Bi-LSTM deep neural networks is proposed for binary classification of MRS data, achieving successful results in detecting pseudo brain tumors. Further validation of the proposed method shows high classification accuracy for different types of brain tissues and tumors.
