Placental Pathology Findings during and after SARS-CoV-2 Infection: Features of Villitis and Malperfusion

The presence of SARS-CoV-2 in placental tissue and umbilical cord suggests a potential for infection of the placenta, but further research is needed to confirm this hypothesis.

Association Between COVID-19 Pregnant Women Symptoms Severity and Placental Morphologic Features
