2D metal-organic framework-based materials for electrocatalytic, photocatalytic and thermocatalytic applications

Yanpeng Xue et al.

Summary: Ultrathin two-dimensional metal-organic frameworks (2D MOFs) have garnered significant interest in catalytic fields due to their thin thickness, large surface area, accessible active sites, and tunable properties. Research is currently focused on developing more stable and conductive materials to enhance their activity. The superior properties and catalytic performance of 2D MOFs, their hybrids, and derivatives compared to 3D MOFs have been highlighted in electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, and thermocatalysis.

Coralline-like Ni2P decorated novel tetrapod-bundle Cd0.9Zn0.1S ZB/WZ homojunctions for highly efficient visible-light photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

Zhuwang Shao et al.

Summary: In this study, Ni2P-Cd0.9Zn0.1S (NPCZS) composites were synthesized and exhibited enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution activity. The synergistic effects of the novel tetrapod-bundle morphology, heterophase homojunctions, and NP co-catalyst played crucial roles in improving the photoactivity. Additionally, the as-prepared NPCZS composites showed excellent photostability and recyclability.
