This article presents a list of Trichoptera species from Calilegua National Park, Jujuy province in Northwestern Argentina. Eighteen species in 7 families and 11 genera are recorded, with nine species previously cited in the area and nine species newly reported. The species are distributed in a variety of families and genera.
This article presents a list of Trichoptera species from Calilegua National Park, Jujuy province in Northwestern Argentina. Eighteen species in 7 families and 11 genera are recorded. Nine species were previously cited from Calilegua: Alisotrichia benji Rueda Martin, Hydroptila argentinica Flint, Marilia cinerea Navas, Marilia flexuosa Ulmer, Neotrichia gotera Flint, Oecetis excisa Ulmer, Oecetis knutsoni Flint, Smicridea (Rhyacophylax) pampeana Flint and Smicridea (Rhyacophylax) peruana (Martynov). Nine species are cited newly in the protected area as well as in Jujuy province: Chimarra (Chimarra) argentinica (Ulmer), Grumichella flaveola (Ulmer), Neotrichia falsifera Flint, Oxyethira (Loxotrichia) parce (Edwards & Arnold), Protoptila dubitans Mosely, Protoptila julieta Robertson & Holzenthal, Smicridea (Rhyacophylax) murina McLachlan, Banyallarga (Banyallarga) loxana (Navas) and Banyallarga (Banyallarga) yungensis Flint.
