On the Hubble Constant Tension in the SNe Ia Pantheon Sample

M. G. Dainotti et al.

Summary: By analyzing the tension between Type Ia supernovae and Planck measurements regarding the Hubble constant, it was found that the Hubble constant evolves with redshift, showing a slowly decreasing trend. This trend may be attributed to astrophysical selection effects or modified gravity.

Updated constraints on massive neutrino self-interactions from cosmology in light of the H0 tension

Shouvik Roy Choudhury et al.

Summary: The study has updated constraints on flavour universal neutrino self-interactions mediated by a heavy scalar and confirmed the presence of a region with strong self-interactions in parameter space. However, the latest data, particularly high-l polarisation data from the Planck 2018 release, does not support this solution.

Flavor-specific interaction favors strong neutrino self-coupling in the early universe

Anirban Das et al.

Summary: Flavor-specific neutrino self-interaction structure can better explain certain features in CMB data and alleviate the tension between measured values of the Hubble constant. The statistical significance of the strongly-interacting neutrino mode increases significantly in scenarios with only one or two interacting neutrino flavors, but the coupling strength central value remains unchanged in flavor-specific cases. Even with more than three neutrino species, none of the cases provide a large enough Hubble constant to resolve the Hubble tension.

Why reducing the cosmic sound horizon alone can not fully resolve the Hubble tension

Karsten Jedamzik et al.

Summary: The Hubble tension, a discrepancy between the locally measured expansion rate of the universe and that inferred from the cosmic microwave background measurements, has become a pressing issue in cosmology. Various modifications to the ΛCDM model have been proposed to address this tension, but models that only reduce the sound horizon r(*) cannot fully resolve the issue while remaining consistent with other cosmological datasets.

The Hubble tension in light of the Full-Shape analysis of Large-Scale Structure data

Guido D'Amico et al.

Summary: The disagreement between direct late-time measurements of the Hubble constant and early-universe measurements may be explained by new physics, but currently two models for early universe physics do not significantly alleviate the tension in cosmological parameters.

Cobaya: code for Bayesian analysis of hierarchical physical models

Jesus Torrado et al.

Summary: Cobaya is a general-purpose Bayesian analysis code designed for models with complex internal interdependencies. It efficiently exploits interdependencies between different stages of a model pipeline, automatically caches intermediate results, and optimally sorts parameters to minimize computational costs during sampling. The code allows exploration of posteriors using Monte Carlo samplers, functions for maximization and importance-reweighting of samples, and can be extended and parallelized with minimal overhead per posterior evaluation.

Adam G. Riess et al.

Summary: This study recalibrated the extragalactic distance ladder and refined the determination of the Hubble constant using Hubble Space Telescope and Gaia EDR3 data. The results, based on Milky Way Cepheids observations and estimates, are in good agreement with conclusions based on earlier Gaia data releases.
