Phase Transition and Dielectric Response Originating from Disorder-Order Transition in the In-Based Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Material [NH3(CH2)5NH3][InCl5(H2O)] . H2O

Yin-Qiang Zhang et al.

Summary: A new organic-inorganic hybrid material was successfully synthesized, showing reversible phase transition with a Curie temperature determined by DSC measurement. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed structural changes at different temperatures, with the disorder-order transformation of the organic cation accounting for the phase transition.

Eco-Friendly and Highly Efficient Light-Emission Ferroelectric Scintillators by Precise Molecular Design

Jun-Yi Li et al.

Summary: The research focuses on the synthesis of a series of hybrid manganese bromide compounds using the highly efficient photoluminescent inorganic framework MnBr42-, along with carefully designed quasi-spherical cations. The modification of cations not only enhances the photoluminescence quantum yield, but also achieves satisfactory ferroelectricity. One of the compounds, [FEtQ](2)MnBr4, shows highly efficient X-ray scintillator performance with a large range of linear response to X-ray dose rate, high light yield, and low detection limit.
