Effect of mixing on mass transfer characterization in continuous slugs and dispersed droplets in biphasic slug flow microreactors

Yanyan Liu et al.

Summary: This study investigated the mass transfer performance and the influence of mixing mechanisms on gas-liquid and liquid-liquid slug flow in different microreactors using colorimetric study. The results showed that the convection and diffusion had different dominance in different reactors, leading to varying mass transfer resistance.
