Summary: The study demonstrated the feasibility of efficient lithium extraction from low-grade brines using magnetic Li/Al layered double hydroxides (MLDHs), which can selectively adsorb Li+ with high capacity. With Fe3O4 nanoparticles as magnetic cores, MLDHs showed great potential in industrial lithium extraction with rapid recovery and long-term recycling capabilities.
