Enhanced adsorptive removal of crystal violet dye from aqueous media using citric acid modified red-seaweed: experimental study combined with RSM process optimization

Summary: In this study, a novel biosorbent, citric acid modified red-seaweed, was prepared and used for the removal of crystal violet (CV) from water. The biosorption performance of the adsorbent was evaluated through various surface characterization techniques and batch experiments. The results showed that the citric acid modification significantly improved the biosorption efficiency of the red seaweed for CV. The maximum CV biosorption efficiency reached 93.40% under the optimal biosorption conditions. Furthermore, the citric acid modified red-seaweed also exhibited good regeneration performance.

A novel catalyst of nickel-loaded graphene decorated on molybdenum-alumina for the HDS of liquid fuels

The AlMoGNi catalyst showed superior performance in reducing sulfur concentration in fuel compared to catalyst without graphene, attributed to its textural properties, surface acidity, and nanoparticle dispersion. The HDS process over the AlMoGNi catalyst involved hydrogenolysis and hydrogenation desulfurization pathways.
