Chemical analysis of corn cob-based biochar and its role as water decontaminants

Eman A. Assirey et al.

Summary: The study highlighted the preferable pyrolysis temperature of 450 degrees C. The adsorption efficiency of Pb2+ increased with increasing pH and biochar dose, but stabilized after reaching 1.5 g/L. Experimental data were well fitted with the pseudo-second-order model, Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms.
