Halide Engineering for Mitigating Ion Migration and Defect States in Hot-Cast Perovskite Solar Cells

Ritesh Kant Gupta et al.

Summary: Controlling the morphology of perovskite to achieve large-sized grains with small-width grain boundaries is crucial for high photovoltaic performance. The incorporation of MABr into mixed halide perovskite effectively minimizes ion migration and results in high-quality films with large grains. The addition of MABr improved the power conversion efficiency of the perovskite solar cells, with the 0.1MABr ratio showing the best performance.

Dual-Passivation Strategy for Improved Ambient Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells

Ritesh Kant Gupta et al.

Summary: Dual-passivation of MAPbI(3)-based perovskite using PTSA in the bulk and hydrophobic PS at the surface significantly reduces trap-density, improves device performance, and enhances PCE. The dual-passivation improves perovskite crystallinity, grain size, and reduces trap-density, resulting in higher photogenerated charges and better charge transport. The modified device retains 93% of the original PCE after 1000 hours under ambient conditions.

Synergistic improvements in the performance and stability of inverted planar MAPbI3-based perovskite solar cells incorporating benzylammonium halide salt additives

Hung-Cheng Chen et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of three different benzylammonium halide salts on the surface morphology, crystal structure, optical properties, and performance of MAPbI(3) perovskite solar cells. Among them, benzylammonium chloride was found to effectively reduce defects and enhance photoluminescence intensity and lifetime, leading to a significant increase in power conversion efficiency. The optimized concentration of benzylammonium chloride resulted in a device with a maximum PCE of 19.8% and excellent moisture stability even after 30 days of operation under ambient air conditions.
