CRISPR screens in plants: approaches, guidelines, and future prospects

Christophe Gaillochet et al.

Summary: CRISPR-associated systems have revolutionized genome engineering by enabling targeted DNA perturbations. While the implementation of CRISPR screens in plants is still in its early stages, their multiplexing capabilities offer new opportunities for studying redundant gene functions and gene networks. This approach, combined with existing genomic profiles, has the potential to lead to significant advances in functional and synthetic biology.
