Summary: The study found that highly connected sectors are more productive in poor countries than in rich countries. CAPITAL OBSOLESCENCE AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY

Julieta Caunedo et al.

Summary: The study argues that considering capital-embodied technology increases the importance of capital in explaining cross-country differences in agricultural labor productivity. New capital is more expensive in richer countries, and the quality of capital affects the adoption of capital-embodied technology. Adjusting for quality nearly doubles the importance of capital in accounting for cross-country differences in agricultural labor productivity.
