Utilization of Trapped Optical Modes for White Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes with Efficiency over 12%

Ziming Chen et al.

Summary: The main challenges in the metal-halide-perovskite light-emitting diode (PeLED) field are low light extraction efficiency (LEE) and difficulty in achieving white emission. A high-performance white PeLED with enhanced LEE was successfully constructed by coupling a blue PeLED with a red perovskite nanocrystal (PeNC) down-converter through a multilayer semitransparent electrode. This approach not only improved LEE by over 50%, but also achieved a high external quantum efficiency and luminance, representing state-of-the-art results in the field.

Broadband Detection of X-ray, Ultraviolet, and Near-Infrared Photons using Solution-Processed Perovskite-Lanthanide Nanotransducers

Lili Xie et al.

Summary: Solution-processed metal-halide perovskites have the potential to be used in next-generation low-cost, high-performance photodetectors, but their weak absorption beyond the near-infrared spectral region limits their application for broadband photodetection. A rational design and synthesis of an upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs)-perovskite nanotransducer has been presented for broadband photon detection from X-rays, UV, to NIR, showing high stability and wide linear response to X-rays and UV/NIR photons. These findings open up opportunities for exploring next-generation broadband photodetectors in high-quality imaging and optoelectronic devices.
