Resonance of Different Waveguide Structures with Various Vertical Indirect Coupled Cavities

Shu Li et al.

Summary: This paper investigates resonances of different waveguide structures with vertical indirect coupled cavities using FDTD, finding that water cavity can adjust resonance. As refractive index increases, resonance peak shifts towards longer wavelengths, and the designed waveguide structure shows high stability and sensitivity to refractive index changes.

Tunable Plasmons in Large-Area WTe2 Thin Films

Chong Wang et al.

Summary: The observation of hyperbolic plasmon resonance modes in exfoliated WTe2 films has opened up possibilities for developing a tunable and scalable plasmonic system. By growing large-area WTe2 films with different thicknesses, it has been demonstrated that plasmon frequency can be tuned by changing the temperature and film thickness. This development could have applications in sensing, imaging, and light modulation.

Surface plasmonics of Weyl semimetals

Xin Lu et al.

Summary: Massive surface states and chiral Fermi arcs in Weyl semimetals significantly impact the form of Fermi-arc plasmons, leading to additional collective plasmonic modes. These modes exhibit complete anisotropy due to underlying surface model anisotropy and are expected to show clear experimental signatures, such as in electron-energy loss spectroscopy.

Chiral magnetic effect in lattice models of tilted multi-Weyl semimetals

Anirudha Menon et al.

Summary: In this study, the chiral magnetic effect (CME) in tilted multi-Weyl semimetals (mWSMs) was investigated using a two-band lattice model. The results showed that the Berry curvature drives the CME for higher monopole charges, with a peak at the transition point. These findings are significant for understanding the physical properties and transition processes of mWSMs.
