Entanglement renormalization for gauge invariant quantum fields

Adrian Franco-Rubio et al.

Summary: This study extends the cMERA framework to gauge invariant quantum fields, specifically focusing on U(1) gauge theory and massive vector boson quantum fields. A gauge invariant cMERA wave functional is proposed to accurately reproduce long distance properties while maintaining some degree of unentanglement at short distances. This construction provides an exact ground state for a gauge invariant, local Hamiltonian with low energy properties coinciding with the original theory.
