Implementation and Experimental Validation of Ultrahigh-Speed PMSM Sensorless Control by Means of Extended Kalman Filter

Summary: This article presents an experimental validation of the implementation of a sensorless control algorithm for an ultrahigh permanent magnet synchronous motor using an extended Kalman filter. The results show that the filter can be used for high-speed drives without sacrificing accuracy and robustness. The algorithm is also shown to be applicable to different machines and can handle changes in back EMF constants and temperature variations.

This paper presents two configurations of electrical machine control for EVs, discusses their pros and cons, and develops mathematical models to enhance a Field Oriented Control (FOC) strategy through MATLAB-based simulations.

On the power demands of accessories on an agricultural tractor

Summary: This study evaluates the power demands of accessories on a tractor, finding that during idling conditions, the power demands of accessories can reach 38% of the power provided by the engine. By introducing electrically-driven accessories, a potential fuel saving of 232 liters per year could be attained, leading to significant fuel savings and reduced CO2 emissions in the US.

Measures and Simulations of Induction Machines Flux Linkage Characteristics Based on Rotor Field Orientation
