Unraveling the Key Relationship Between Perovskite Capacitive Memory, Long Timescale Cooperative Relaxation Phenomena, and Anomalous J-V Hysteresis

Enrique Hernandez-Balaguera et al.

Summary: Capacitive response at long time scales is a challenging feature in the analysis of perovskite-based solar cells, presenting a significant difficulty in accurately deducing key capacitance feature from electrical measurements. The hysteresis observed in stable and high-efficiency quadruple-cation perovskites is not due to classical capacitive behavior, but rather a result of slow memory-based capacitive currents and cooperative relaxations. A fractional dynamics approach based on capacitance distribution in perovskite devices effectively models the slow transient phenomena and scan-rate- and bias-dependent hysteresis, demonstrating that distributed capacitive effects are universal anomalies in photovoltaic halide perovskites related to long-time electrical response.

Application of the Efros Theorem to the Function Represented by the Inverse Laplace Transform of s-μ exp(-sν)

Alexander Apelblat et al.

Summary: By utilizing a special case of the Efros theorem derived by Wlodarski and operational calculus, various infinite integrals, finite integrals, and integral identities for the function represented by the inverse Laplace transform have been derived. These identities mainly involve convolution integrals with Mittag-Leffler and Volterra functions. Additionally, certain properties of the inverse Laplace transform of s(-mu)exp(-s(nu)) with mu >= 0 and 0 < nu < 1 are discussed.

Non-Debye Relaxations: Two Types of Memories and Their Stieltjes Character

Katarzyna Gorska et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the relationship between spectral functions and memory functions related to non-Debye relaxation models, as well as their non-negativity. By utilizing the properties of Stieltjes functions, it can be proven that there is a connection between them, and both memory functions and spectral functions belong to Stieltjes functions.

Coulostatics in bioelectrochemistry: A physical interpretation of the electrode-tissue processes from the theory of fractional calculus

E. Hernandez-Balaguera

Summary: This paper investigates the electrical response of an electrode-tissue-electrode system to the application of a dc current for a short time to achieve coulostatic conditions, using constant phase elements (CPEs) to model the capacitances formed by electrode-tissue interfaces and cell membranes. The study predicts the restriction of current path under certain conditions, leading to coulostatic charge injection into both types of capacitance. The influence of pulse shape on the technique, based on fractional calculus, is also explored, showing the crucial role of excitation signal shape in coulostatic relaxation processes.

Relation between generalized diffusion equations and subordination schemes

A. Chechkin et al.

Summary: Generalized diffusion equations are popular tools for describing non-Fickian diffusion processes, but not all processes can be described by both schemes. This work discusses the conditions for correspondence between a generalized diffusion equation and a subordination scheme, as well as examples of random processes that are applicable to one or both descriptions.

Integral decomposition for the solutions of the generalized Cattaneo equation

K. Gorska

Summary: The integral decomposition for the fundamental solution of the generalized Cattaneo equation with smeared time derivatives through memory kernels is presented. Analytic methods based on the Efross theorem are used to invert solutions to the space-time domain from the Fourier-Laplace domain, showing a unique dependence on memory kernels. Applying the theory of complete Bernstein functions allows the interpreted subordination of the constructed integral decompositions, clarifying the puzzling situation with power-law kernels.
