Reusable Optical Biosensor Based on Poly (Vinyl) Alcohol-Chitosan Cryogel with Incorporated Magnetic Nanoparticles for the Determination of Sucrose in Sugar Cane and Sugar

Summary: A reusable magnetic nanoparticles-based cryogel optical biosensor was developed for sucrose determination in sugar cane and sugar samples. The biosensor exhibited good selectivity for sucrose with a detection limit of 3 mM and could be reused up to 32 times with good repeatability. This optical biosensor can also be used for sucrose analysis in sugar cane and sugar samples.
