Concatenated multi-reflection time-of-flight spectra for wide-band mass spectrometry

Paul Fischer et al.

Summary: A series of MR-ToF spectra are recorded and evaluated using comb-sampling technique to analyze ion flight time signals for wide-band mass spectrometry, allowing simultaneous measurement of the full range of trapped ions. This technique is revisited for background-free single-ion-counting data in the present study.

Particle-in-cell techniques for the study of space charge effects in the Advanced Cryogenic Gas Stopper

R. Ringle et al.

Summary: Linear gas stoppers are used to convert high-energy ions into low-energy beams by interacting with a buffer gas like helium, generating He+/e- pairs. The Advanced Cryogenic Gas Stopper is designed to efficiently stop and extract high-intensity, rare-isotope beams, with simulations optimizing the extraction process.

Mass measurements of As, Se, and Br nuclei, and their implication on the proton-neutron interaction strength toward the N = Z line

I Mardor et al.

Summary: Accurate mass measurements of As-69, Se-70, Se-71, and Br-71 nuclides were achieved using the multiple-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer, highlighting the importance of high resolving power for resolving overlapping peaks. The results show good agreement with previous evaluations and provide insights into the proton-neutron interaction for odd-odd nuclei.
