Summary: The study found that when T-max exceeded 38 degrees Celsius, the level of faecal glucocorticoid metabolite in southern pied babblers increased linearly, indicating that very hot days are experienced as acute stressors. However, the effects of T-max on fGCM levels did not carry over to the following morning.
