The present work describes the synthesis, characterization, and performance of Chitosan (CS)-multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)-eggshell (ES) composite. The newly prepared CS/MWCNTs/ES composites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The CS/MWCNTs/ES composites were used to remove copper(II) ions from aqueous solutions under different operating conditions such as dosing, pH, initial concentration, contact time. CS/MWCNTs/ES composites enhance the removal efficiency. The results suggest that the new CS/MWCNTs/ES could be used for Cu(II) ions from aqueous solution.
